Our Priorities

Keeping students first, parents involved, classrooms safe, academics strong, and taxpayers respected.

  1. Priority 01

    Keeping the Focus on Education

Parents send their children to school to receive an excellent education.

That means strong reading, writing, math, science, history, career and technical education, and the skills students need to succeed after graduation.

Lisa and Jana believe classroom time and taxpayer resources should be focused on educating students, raising academic standards, supporting great teachers, and delivering measurable results.

  2. Priority 02

    Parents Deserve a Voice

Parents are the primary decision-makers in their children’s lives, and they deserve transparency about what happens in their schools.

Lisa and Jana will continue fighting for a school system that listens to parents, respects families, provides transparency, and welcomes community involvement.

Parents shouldn’t have to fight bureaucracy just to be heard.

  3. Priority 03

    Safe Schools. Orderly Classrooms.

Teachers should be able to teach. Students should be able to learn.

Lisa and Jana support strong discipline, clear expectations for student behavior, effective school safety policies, and holding students accountable for conduct that disrupts classrooms.

Restoring respect and order in our schools isn’t controversial — it’s common sense.

  4. Priority 04

    Respecting Calvert County Taxpayers

More spending doesn’t automatically mean better schools.

Calvert County taxpayers deserve to know where their money is going and what results they’re getting in return.

Lisa and Jana support responsible budgeting, transparency, eliminating waste, and directing resources toward classrooms, teachers, school safety, and student achievement.

Every education dollar should have a purpose.

  5. Priority 05

    Standing Up for Calvert County

Decisions affecting Calvert County students should reflect the needs and values of Calvert County families — not political agendas coming from Annapolis or Washington.

Lisa and Jana will continue asking tough questions, demanding accountability, and standing up for local families when outside mandates conflict with what’s best for our schools.

Keep Common Sense on the Board

These five priorities only matter if they have votes behind them. Help Lisa and Jana keep delivering on every one of them for Calvert County students, parents, and taxpayers.
